Meet Our Instructors
Fluid Motion Dance Academy was built on passion, creativity, and a commitment to giving dancers more – more opportunity, more artistry, more heart.
From our first class to today, we’ve grown into a vibrant community where every dancer can thrive.

Mrs. Nola, Owner
Artistic Director & Master Instructor
Fluid Motion Dance Academy’s commitment to excellence starts with its founder. Nola founded Fluid Motion Dance Academy with one goal: To create a space where dancers of all ages and abilities could feel inspired and supported. Her bold vision drives everything we do – from innovative programs to unforgettable performances. Nola’s leadership ensures that Fluid Motion isn’t just a studio; it’s a family.
Nola began her dance, gymnastics, and tumbling journey at just 2 years old and competed at an elite level from age 5 through 17, earning numerous scholarships, titles, and awards. She graduated high school a year early and continued her training at Webster University, where she earned a BFA with an emphasis in ballet, and also studied at the University of Missouri–Kansas City while performing on a Division I competitive dance team.
Nola has trained under some of the most respected names in dance, including Alicia Graf Mack (former artistic director of The Juilliard School and current artistic director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), Michael Uthoff and Ronald Tice of the Joffrey Ballet, and Gary Abbott of UMKC and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater. She has performed works by Anthony Tudor and other classical repertoire. Mrs. Nola also danced professionally for two seasons with Common Thread Contemporary Ballet under Jennifer Medina.
Her expertise spans ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, aerial silks, contemporary, and modern (Horton & Graham techniques). Nola is a certified member of the Cecchetti Council of America and has completed Primary through Elementary Grades 3, currently working toward Grade 4, with plans to earn a full diploma and become an examiner one day. Nola is also a certified acrobatic arts instructor. In addition to outstanding training, she has won numerous awards for choreography and best concept. She has been teaching a variety of styles for 15 years, and her passion for teaching shines through every class.
Above all, Nola is dedicated to helping dancers of all ages build confidence both on and off the dance floor. Her favorite styles? Ballet, contemporary, jazz, and acro/aerial arts — though she confesses to a deep love of all forms of dance.
