  • Fluid Motion Company Fall Showcase – November 2026

    This showcase is for Fluid and Motion Competitive Company classes only.

    Dancer Arrival Time: TBD – Come dressed & ready for first routine

    Parking: Enter through the southwest entrance and park in the blue lot. If you are not dropping off a dancer, please enter through the lobby by the roundabout. Will Call will also be located there.

    Solo’s: Dancers who would like to perform their solo will have a $45 performance fee.

    Ticket pickup: Tickets purchased October 5-28 may be picked up at the studio November 5-12. After October 28, tickets may need to be picked up at Will Call.

    Tickets may be purchased day of the performance and picked up at will call. 

    Included Tickets: Includes 2 tickets per show for one dancer. Each additional dancer in the same family receives 1 additional ticket.

    Example: Jones Family has 3 dancers attending Fall Showcase Dancer 1 receives 2 tickets to show 1, Dancer 2 receives an additional 1 ticket and Dancer 3 also receives 1 addtl ticket. So The Jones family will have 4 tickets to show 1 of the Fall showcase.

    3. Costumes, Hair & Makeup

    ALL DANCERS NEED:

    Skin tone tights, skin tone ballet shoes & skin tone leotard to wear under costumes and for dressing room purposes. 

    Hair: Middle-part low bun. Tutorial coming soon. (Bobby pins, two hair ties and hair net needed)
    Boys: Hair styled nicely. 

    Stage Makeup: Smokey eye, red blush, red lipstick, eyeliner & mascara, tutorial HERE
    Boys: Light blush and lip color, and Neutral tones on eyelids are optional.

    1. Rest and Recovery
      • Red Light Therapy: Supporting Dancers Through Injury Recovery- What Is Red Light Therapy?

        Red light therapy is a non-invasive recovery tool that can help support the healing process. It uses specific wavelengths of light that penetrate the skin and support energy production within cells (ATP synthesis). This increased cellular energy can help tissues repair more efficiently.       • FOAM Rolling: “A foam roller is an instrument you can use to relieve muscle tightness, soreness and inflammation in the body, with the goal of increasing the joints’ range of motion,” says Adam Siegman, Program Manager for the Chief Wellness Office at MD Anderson. – Read more about the benefits HERE
      • Ice Baths or Cold Plunges: A cold plunge is exactly what it sounds like: A brief dip into an ice bath. And an ice bath is exactly what it sounds like: A very, very cold bath.- Read more about the benefits and dangers of cold plunges HERE, always consult a physician first!
    2. Hydration and Nutrition Proper hydration and nutrition is vital for athletes. Water intake does vary on age and weight. 2-3 liters or (8-13 cups). Read more on proper hydration and the importance HERE
      Proper nutrition is also very vital. Having the proper intake of carbs, protein and fat. Of course Fruits and Veggies are important to. Read more about proper nutrition for Athletes HERE
    3. Stretch and conditioning: It is so important for dance athletes to have a balance of stretching and conditioning work in their routine. – Read more about the different types of stretching and conditioning that can benefit athletes here!
    4. Injury Prevention – seek a Physical Therapist for an evaluation to see where you may have weaknesses in range or motion, flexibility and/ or strength. This can provide you with a specific regime to correct any imbalances in the body and prevent injury. MOST IMPORTANTLY, listen to your body!
    5. Mindfulness and Relaxation – Positive mindset and affirmations are key to any success in life when working towards a goal. Make the time part of your routine to practice self affirmation and breathing techniques. This comes in handy on performance day when we as dancer’s feel the performance nerves.

  • The Fluid Motion Nutcracker- December 2026

    This performance includes our Tiny Twinkles Pre-Dance Ballet/Tap classes, all FLOWY Educational Ballet classes, and all Technique Ballet classes.

    1. Performance Information

    Performance Date: December 19th

    Time: Show 1 – 1:30 pm, Show 2 – 6:00 pm,

    Dancer Arrival Time: arrive 1 hour early to each show.

    Dress Rehearsal: December 18th 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at the theater, some dancers will be released before 8:00 pm

    2. Other Important Nutcracker Dates

    November 21 – All Cast Rehearsal: 3:00pm – 5:00pm

    November 21 – Nutcracker Tea 6:00pm -7:00pm – Only Select groups (more details to come)

    December 12 – Nutcracker Photo Shoot – Required to attend; purchase optional (More details to come)

    Come enjoy a free short performance featuring excerpts from The Nutcracker. Meet some of the cast and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies!.

  • FMDA Spectacular – February 2027

    This showcase is for Fluid and Motion Competitive Company classes only.

    • Show A – Groups: 5:00pm-6:30pm

    2:30-3:00 pm REQUIRED parent/dancer meeting, please have dancers dressed in first costume, hair and make up done! Please ensure your dancer ate Dinner.

    3:00-3:15 pm warm up – on stage in 1st costume.

    3:15-3:30pm Restroom Break, set up costume (its best to pre-order them at home so you can just pop up and go!

    3:30-4:45 run routines with teacher /team captain back stage like we do at competitions to prepare to take the stage.

    5:00-6:30 show A, ALL Fluid & Motion Group Routines

    7:00-9:00 pm show B, solo/duet/trios, Dancers may watch, please head back stage 6 dances before and go through your routine backstage independently soloist or as a duet/trio.

    This year’s Winter Showcase is for FlOWY Educational Classes Only. Tiny Twinkles pre-dance ballet/tap, and Ballet classes will not perform in this showcase; they will perform in our Winter Nutcracker instead.

    Dancer Arrival Time: Arrive 1 hour early to each show.

  • Liberty Showcase – February 2027

    We are excited for our 5th time attending Liberty Showcase! This is a fun way to perform in front of studio without the pressure of a competition and is a great practice before the competition season begins! – Please read this in its entirety.

    1. Event Information

    Date: Feb 2027 – exact date coming soon

    Location: Liberty High School, 2275 Sommers Rd, O’Fallon, MO 63367, USA

    Admission: $7 CASH per person. Dancers must in costume to enter free!

    Dancer Arrival: Come fully dressed with hair and makeup done

    2. Dancer Preparation

    Dancer Packing list:

    • Black leggings
    • Team jacket or hoodie
    • Additional costumes (if applicable)
    • Applicable dance shoes
    • Hair/makeup supplies for touch-ups
    • Water
    • Small snack (if performing in multiple blocks)

    Please only eat during the intermission and with a jacket on.

    Hair: Middle-part low bun for all dancers

    3. Day-of Information and Expectations

    • Be on time, If running late, message the group in the app.
    • Check-in at the dressing room. They will tell you when you pay the entry fee, usually each studio follows a tape color.
    • Check-out will be at the PHOTO BACK DROP at the end of the “session/block” they are performing in. If they are in multiple blocks you will check them out at the end of the last block at the photo both.
    • Cheer/Clap for all dances, wish other dance studios /teams good luck back stage in the hole.
    • Stay attentive to your teachers and assistants, We know those on Liberty School Dance Teams will need to do things for that and will connect with students on details,
    • Ensure you have eaten breakfast and lunch that day.
