This showcase is for Fluid and Motion Competitive Company classes only.

1. Performance Information

DATE: November 14

Location: St. Charles Community College -The Shook Theater

Time:

• Show A – Groups: 4:00-6:00pm
• Show B – Solos/Duets/Trios: 6:30-7:30pm ($45 additional performance fee – REGISTRATION HERE)

Parking: Enter through the southwest entrance and park in the blue lot. If you are not dropping off a dancer, please enter through the lobby by the roundabout. Will Call will also be located there.

Solo’s: Dancers who would like to perform their solo will have a $45 performance fee.

2. Tickets

Tickets On Sale: Oct 12, 9:00am – $10 each, price increase to $15 starting Nov 2nd

Please note, you may initially purchase 2 additional tickets to the show. Starting October 27, additional tickets may be purchased, if available.

Please remember, family and friends will also have other opportunities to see their dancers perform. The FMDA Spectacular and Spring Showcase are free to attend, and there is no spectator fee at competitions.

Ticket pickup: Tickets purchased October 12-28 may be picked up at the studio November 5-12. After October 28, tickets may need to be picked up at Will Call.

Tickets may be purchased day of the performance and picked up at will call. 

Included Tickets: Includes 2 tickets per show for one dancer. Each additional dancer in the same family receives 1 additional ticket.

Example: Jones Family has 3 dancers attending Fall Showcase Dancer 1 receives 2 tickets to show 1, Dancer 2 receives an additional 1 ticket and Dancer 3 also receives 1 addtl ticket. So The Jones family will have 4 tickets to show 1 of the Fall showcase.

3. Costumes, Hair & Makeup

ALL DANCERS NEED:

Skin tone tights, & skin tone leotard to wear under costumes and for dressing room purposes. 

Shoe information coming soon! (we want to confirm how it looks with the costume in person!)

5. Arrival & Itinerary (also listed in link above)

*all are to arrive with your applicable stirrup tights, skin tone leotard or applicable undergarments on under black dance shorts or leggings w/ company jacket.

• Teen/ Senior Line: arrive 11:45 am, staging 12:00-12:15
• Ballet Line: arrive 12:00 pm, staging 12:15-12:30
• Junior Line, arrive 12:15 pm , staging 12:30-12:45
• Acro Team, arrive, 12:30 pm, stage 12:45-1:00
• ALL COMPANY — MJ opening/closing # rehearsal arrive 12:45, rehearse 1:00-1:45pm.
• Petite’s– Strike 1:45-1:50 pm (dismissed and check back in at 3:30)
• Break 2:00-2:15 pm 
• ALL Company Warm up on stage 2:15-2:40 pm 
• Strike all other dances in show order 2:50-3:30 pm 
  *each dance will have 1 min, 23 need to space. we will have a team huddle after we are complete. dancers will practice in class walking from formation to formation to ensure this process moves quickly.
• 3:30-3:45 get dressed, set for show at 3:55pm 

6. Reminders and Plan ahead.

• Eat lunch before you arrive.
• Bring a healthy non messy snack for break time.
  ie: granola/protein bar, carrots/celery, beef jerky,
• Bring WATER BOTTLE with NAME or stickers that make it easily identifiable.
  ***PLEASE NO STARBUCKS or any other kind of beverages. too many spills the theater recently replaced their carpet and has explicitly asked only water back stage for dancers.
• Get a good nights rest.
• PACK THE WEEK PRIOR with your check list, that way if you are missing something you have the week to get it.
